Orchestra of Syrian Musicians
Celebrating cultural heritage in exile
The ‘Orchestra of Syrian Musicians’ is looking to celebrate cultural heritage in exile. They are a well-established & registered collective in Lebanon. They were reunited by Africa Express for a series of concerts in 2016, & a live album was recorded during these shows. It was decided that as soon as everyone could go home safely, a studio album would be recorded in Damascus. Five years later, these musicians have still sadly not been able to return to Syria, & many have settled in the UK & Lebanon. This recording project will reunite these orchestra members with stars from Lebanon & the UK, to celebrate the remarkable music & culture of Syria, Lebanon & the UK combined. Selected guest vocalists will collaborate on the tracks for the record, which will be scored for the orchestra.
St Mary’s, Walthamstow, London
St Mary’s is where it all started. We worked closely with the leadership to we build a strong arts programme. We installed a brand-new production infrastructure to partner with large festivals such as the London Jazz Festival. Since then, we’ve hosted many other events companies.

We partnered with St John’s in Leytonstone, Waltham Forest in North East London, to install a new sound system. The new system has dramatically increased their ability to attract new audiences to their events.

Word of mouth is a powerful thing! Greenleaf Baptist approached us when they heard about the work we’d done with spaces in the North East of London. They were keen to explore how a similar work programme could interface with their activity.

St Mary’s Walthamstow
We helped secure £1.6million (Matched to £3.3million) Heritage Grant, to turn St Mary’s Walthamstow into a world-class performing arts centre. Here we’ve worked closely with Music Venue Trust and d&b audiotechnik securing a Grassroots Live Music fund from the Arts Council, to completely overhaul its production offer. This was the only medium capacity venue in Waltham Forest & it’s critical that we upheld high production values so that residents, visitors and streamers have a cutting edge venue to experience excellent art, making the borough vibrant, inclusive and a happier place to live.
